Abstract

It is a two-part report; in the first section the properties required for the components of blast-furnace slag cements, cement standards, and applications are described; in the second section, a review of the performance of blast-furnace slag cements compared to portland cement is described with special reference to sulfate and seawater resistance, reduced alkali-silica expansion, and low-heat properties.
