Abstract

271 C-141A and 1 YC-141B Lockheed Starlifter cargo transport airplanes are presently in the United States Air Force (USAF) Military Airlift Command (MAC) inventory. The C-141A program includes all elements of the Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) defined in Military Standard MIL-STD-1530 (USAF), “Aircraft Structural Integrity Program, Airplane Requirements”, 1 Sept. 1972. The purpose of this paper is to present highlights of the C-141A service life monitoring program.
