Abstract

Fire risk assessment, using experience as a basis, has led to the development of fire test methods and building codes and standards. Fire risk is composed of the multiple elements of potential for harm, probability of occurrence, and probability for exposure. The integration of fire test methods and building codes and standards is part of a multiple-element response to fire risk.
