Electronic monitoring devices provide essential information on physiological states. They may be used to assess current health status and potential problems, or they may be used to save lives during or in prevention of an emergency. How reliable is the information gathered by clinicians from electronic monitoring devices, and is interpretation of data uniform from clinician to clinician?
