Abstract

A description is given of problems arising during manufacture of standard reference material castings for the National Bureau of Standards. Cast iron, steel, blast furnace compositions, ductile iron, and high temperature alloys are discussed. Techniques to effect sound structure and integrity in the end-product are given.
