The Schrödinger Wave Equation

Source

The approach here will be to start with some elementary ideas of the classical mechanics and to convert these concepts to their equivalents in the quantum mechanics. This will be done by changing the total energy of an electron in classical terms into their quantum mechanical equivalents and arriving at the Schrödinger equation. The solutions to the time-independent form of this equation will provide expressions for Ψ which will result in naturally discrete energy values for the particles being considered.
