Abstract

A brief discussion is given of the multimedia, multijurisdictional, multipurpose monitoring program in the Great Lakes basin. Major conclusions of the intensive 2-year study on Lake Michigan are presented. The fish flesh monitoring program, which has been increasing in importance and intensity, is described in some detail.
