Abstract

A procedure was developed and demonstrated to determine the validity of data produced by automatic continuous area monitors for ambient air monitoring. The validation procedure uses a portable dynamic gas standard generation system to generate low concentration, high volume standards. Field tests indicate the procedure to be reliable and point to the need for this type of validation to ensure the integrity of continuous monitor data.
