Abstract

The object of this paper, which assumes the validity of Paris's equation, is to derive satisfactory estimates of the two constants C and m in the following conditions: (1) numerical process leading to the estimates of C and m is based on a rationale that takes into account the physical and statistical aspects of fatigue crack growth, and (2) the result of the fit compares favorably with existing procedures.
