View License Agreement ASTM is the primary standards-writing organization in the United States. An investigation of current ASTM standards shows that specifications are available for both conventional and pre-stressed steel. Specifications also exist for zinc-coated (galvanized) bars for concrete reinforcement (A 767) and for epoxy-coated reinforcing steel bars (A 775) but no standard is available for nickel-coated bars. (Epoxy-coated bars are also under study by NACE Committee T-3K-3, which will promulgate an NACE standard.) | ||
