Abstract

This paper offers an overview of technological progress in polyurethanes—in particular, their use as a protective coating. The physical characteristics of the coatings are discussed, with special emphasis on the new 100% solid spray-applied polyurethane systems. A breakdown of advantages, commitments, and market opportunities is presented.
