Abstract
Various types of coal gasification processes which are available commercially or in the developmental stage are reviewed. The properties of the gaseous fuels produced by different gasifiers are discussed. Gas cleanup systems that are adaptable for turbine applications are presented, and factors influencing process selection are outlined.
