Abstract

The paper attempts to give an overall view of the very complex antifreeze situation existing in Europe today. It is written with the hope of creating a better understanding of the actual realistic requirements that have to be set for modern coolants. It is further hoped that it may help to pave the way for a standardization of coolant test methods.
