In spite of the large number of nuclear plants in the general category of operating, under construction, or planned, few had produced surveillance data by the end of 1968. Many programs are planned, however, and for perspective it may be of value to consider the reactors for which data on anticipated increase in NDT and planned surveillance are available. The small number of operating plants for which surveillance programs are now available limit severely the degree of specificity in tabulations of descriptive surveillance data.
