Abstract

A laboratory accreditation program administered by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) is described. The evolution of the program, proposed changes in the rules, procedures for certification, and cooperation between IEPA and the Illinois Department of Public Health in laboratory accreditation are covered.
