Abstract

The heat sag test is used by many end users in their specifications for reaction injection molding (RIM) methane materials. The test is evaluated for low-modulus fascia RIM materials and the high mod RIM material presently being studied for exterior body panel applications. A number of variables which can influence the heat sag test are examined and their relative effect discussed.
