Abstract

Results of investigations of radiation-enhanced diffusion in alloys and in pure metals together with results of studies of radiation damage obtained by various techniques are discussed. It is concluded that the recombination volume for vacancy and self-interstitials, α, is much larger than previously assumed, which changes aspects of the one- and two-interstitial models.
