Use of Multistation Computer System for Laboratory Data Acquisition and Control

Source

This paper describes the functions and the methods of operation of the computerized data acquisition and control system used in the authors' fatigue laboratory. The computer, a real-time multiprogramming system with digital/analog and analog/digital interfaces, controls and takes data for various complex fatigue experiments simultaneously through use of programs developed by the laboratory personnel. Such programs, the capabilities of the system, and typical applications are discussed.
