Abstract

Within the German Standard Organization a working group was engaged with the task of investigating and specifying methods for testing the essential properties of eddy-current test equipment for application to the inspection of tubes with feed-through coil systems. For this purpose several reference standards are required; these contain artificial defects such as holes, longitudinal and transverse notches, and milled-off segments. Several materials are recommended for use in the usual frequency ranges.
