Abstract

This is a “state of the art” document prepared by the Predator Task Group, American Society for Testing and Materials' (ASTM) Subcommittee E35.17, as a concensus guideline for the use of Compound 1080 in wild canid control. Toxicology, storage and handling, bait formulations, and preparation of baits are discussed. Bait placement, exposure period, disposal, human safety factors, and environmental impact are also treated. Toxicity data and a reference list also are included.
