View License Agreement Table 4 gives the Instrument Society of America (ISA) designations for the most common types of thermocouples. The alloy names Chromel and Alumel are registered trademarks of the Hoskins Manufacturing Company, Detroit, Mich. The designation Type K is a generic one. It now includes all thermocouples which reproduce the emf-temperature characteristics of Chromel-Alumel as defined by the National Bureau of Standards [47]. | ||
