    Abstract

    Finite Element Analysis has been used for almost 30 years by areospace and automobile industries to design parts and systems. Finite Element Analysis, or FEA breaks a part up into small elements in order to find the stresses on the whole. This paper describes how the method was applied to single ply roofing. Standard wind test assemblies were analyzed for verification and then a corner area of a typical roof was analyzed.
