Abstract

Solvents and petroleum oils have been used in agricultural chemicals for over one hundred years, and this paper presents an overview of the solvents and oils typically used in ag chem today. It includes discussion on solvent and oil applications, classifications, types available, compositions and physical properties. Pesticidal efficacy effects and other technical considerations for choosing solvents and oils are also reviewed.
