View License Agreement Corrosion studies have typically been performed in relatively simple environments where variations in corrosion behavior are determined as functions of one variable at a time. However, the desire to more closely simulate actual service environments requires more complex test environments. To study the effects of environmental variables on the corrosion behavior of materials, a statistical approach is highly desirable. In this paper, a sequential experimental design approach for complex experimental environments will be described. Examples are given where this approach is used to study the effect of solution variables in complex environments on the electrochemical parameters for different alloys. | ||
