Pesticide formulation technology affects all areas of pesticide development. The relationships between formulation and efficacy, phytotoxicity, purchasing, patents, toxicology, non-target organisms, environmental fate, and re-entry protection are discussed. Procedures for alternate inert and active registrations are presented.
