Abstract

Cement-based products such as grouts and mortars are being modified with water-based emulsifiable polymers to design products with some of the properties of traditional organic adhesives without sacrificing the properties imparted by the cement. Improved adhesion, strength and flexibility are typical properties of interest for these systems.
