Abstract

Various compounds of carbon-boron-titanium for improving the hydrogen-retention properties and erosion resistances of the carbon materials under the high heat load from the plasma were synthesized. Thermal diffusivity of the compounds were measured. The materials were neutron irradiated in a fission reactor. Effects of neutron irradiation on the swelling of the materials were determined and presented. Thermal diffusivity data on the irradiated materials are not presented
