    Abstract

    A controlled droplet application technique was investigated to determine the effect of droplet size and dosage on penetration of structural softwood by chlorpyrifos (DursbanR TC). An effort was made to quantify “run-off” and to reduce the amount of chemical applied to wood by several orders of magnitude. Wood was sectioned and analyzed and concentrations of chlorpyrifos at several depths within the wood were determined.
