Abstract

Silicone adhesives/sealants offer building owners and architects greater design flexibility than mechanically captured curtain wall systems. This paper will discuss the benefits and capabilities of silicone sealants, particularly in structural applications. Structural properties and performance characteristics of silicone sealants will be explained.
