Abstract

A straightforward, reliable test procedure, based on Hecker's methods, for evaluating the biaxial stretchability of materials was devised and applied to as-plated and aged gold as well as aged copper and oxygen-free high-conductivity copper has been devised. The procedure is well suited for monitoring parts in production. The effects of wall-thickness have also been analyzed nonuniformity and the extent of its importance for part integrity shown.
