Abstract

During the 1985/1986 and 1986/1987 skiing seasons, the Televisió de Catalunya TV3 aired a 20-min weekly program about winter sports every Thursday evening. It was called “Temps de Neu” (Snow Time). In each program, 3 min were assigned to Dr. José M. Figueras to comment on the prevention of skiing accidents. The idea for this type of continued program was based on the experience of Dr. Ejnar Eriksson, some television programs about skiing safety, and on the fact that sporadic, although longer, programs previously broadcasted were not effective enough.
