View License Agreement Source: STP1015-EB Abstract We present here the results of direct measurement of the nonlinear refractive index, n2, of yttria doped cubic zirconia at 1.06 μm using external self-focusing. The value of n2 was found to be independent of the yttria concentration. The measured value (6 × 10-13 esu) compares well with that calculated from the breakdown measurements [1].
