Abstract

There is a need for a system of ground-water monitoring performance criteria (data quality objectives or DQO's), reference methods, equivalency testing protocols, and quality assurance procedures for ground-water monitoring in remedial site investigations. This framework should be related to relevant ambient concentration standards through data quality objectives which allow monitoring data to be compared to the ambient standards.
