This paper discusses the advantages of metallized films, which provide a wide range of options for innovation and consumer appeal and service, along with cost savings, for the alert converter and packaging material user. The vacuum metallizing process is described, uses of metallized films are discussed, and comparisons are made between metallized films and other packaging materials.
