Improvements in Dry Flowable Tank Mix Compatibility

Source

Tank mix compatibility has frequently been a problem for dry flowable formulations. Compatibility with either co-pesticides or liquid fertilizer has been poor in the past resulting in flocculation or sedimentation. Traditional lignosulfonate and naphthalene condensate surfactants used in dry flowables appear to compound these compatibility problems. Developments in surfactant technology have served to improve the tank mix compatibility in dry flowables.

A new class of dry flowable surfactants is discussed and compared to the traditional surfactants. The compatibilities of many dry flowables are extensively evaluated. The new surfactants were found to improve tank mix compatibility without the loss of suspensibility in water.
