Abstract

The Arizona Department of Transportation in its continuing effort to improve pavement technology evaluated the use of the repetitive simple shear test at constant height and flexural bending beam test as part of the mix design and field quality assurance process. The results of the efforts, indicated that the use of those performance based tests and associated analysis procedures are feasible and implementable for routine use.
