Abstract

A materials information bank has been developed that contains generally accessible data on materials properties used in the electricity generating industry, along with more specific corporate material data, for example, failure analysis reports, research results, and evaluation reports. This information bank is based on the very latest developments in data storage systems suitable for personal computers. An extremely powerful information retrieval system has been created by linking various commercially available software packages.
