Abstract

This paper describes a computer program and its periphery that allows the determination of da/dN - ΔK curves: fatigue crack propagation threshold, ΔKth: and the crack opening stress intensity factor, Kop. The main requirement on the computer program is that no a priori knowledge about the material or the test procedure is required of the operating personnel.

Keywords:
fatigue crack propagation, test automation, da/dN, -curve, fatigue crack propagation threshold, crack opening stress intensity factor, fracture (materials), fatigue (materials), testing methods, data analysis
