Abstract

A re-evaluation of the first ex-vessel dosimetry experiment at CNA-I was performed. The activation dosimeters were irradiated at the cavity behind the RPV during 1994–1995. This study differs from the previous one [1] in the calculation tools employed, as well as in some of the input data needed to perform the calculations. As a result, consolidated neutron spectra at the dosimeters' position were obtained. The possible reasons of disagreement in the calculated C/M ratios were analyzed and their impact was quantified. Lessons learned from this study were used to design a new ex-vessel experiment that will be developed next year.
