Abstract

Fifty-eight PWR plants grouped in four standardized series are in operation in the Electricité de France (EDF) reactor pool. About 140 surveillance capsules were extracted and the associated dosimetric analysis carried out according to a defined and approved method described briefly. Taking one of the reactor series as example, the consistency of the results is presented and a comparison is made in terms of fluence with the results of the EFLUVE industrial code set up by EDF. A dosimetry processing improvement study is presented: it aims to take into account the modifications of the fuel management strategy implemented by EDF enabling the lifetime of the power plants to be extended. Finally the analysis of the approach adopted for determination of uncertainties and its improvement is explained.
