Abstract
This paper presents an overview of the activities of IEC TC 89Fire hazard testing. It covers the history of the committee, its status within the IEC and its philosophy of risk reduction. It describes the current publications and projects of IEC TC 89, plus new work as well as the description and activities of its eight working groups.
