Abstract

TOSOH has developed a productive and unique producing process for high purity niobium with only several ppm tantalum and less than 1 ppm impurity metals. Our high purity Nb is produced by thermal decomposition of niobiumiodide (Nbl⁵). which especially includes the heat treatment process for removing Ta in Nb. These high purity metals can be fabricated in the form of sheet, wire, and globules for Nb.
