Abstract

TOSOH has developed a productive and unique producing process for high purity niobium with only several ppm tantalum and less than 1 ppm impurity metals. Our high purity Nb is produced by thermal decomposition of niobiumiodide (Nbl5). which especially includes the heat treatment process for removing Ta in Nb. These high purity metals can be fabricated in the form of sheet, wire, and globules for Nb.
