Interlaboratory Coopertative Study of the Precision and Accuracy of the Measurement of Sulfur Dioxide Content in the Atmosphere

This report presents the results obtained from an experimental study of the accuracy and precision of the measurement of atmospheric levels of sulfur dioxide by the West-Gaeke method according to ASTM Method D2914. A total of eight cooperating laboratories performed a total of 704 measurements of sulfur dioxide over the concentration range of about 7 to 300 μm3 in ambient air and spiked-ambient air at Los Angeles, California; Bloomington, Indiana; and Manhattan, New York.
