Thirteen countries participated in the exposure program with a total of 53 exposure sites. These sites included industrial, urban, rural, marine, and costal locations in temperate, tropical, and arctic zones. A list of the sites together with their designations and characterizations is given in Table 1. A world map showing the approximate location of these sites is shown in Figure 2. The organizations responsible for these sites are listed in Table 2.
