Abstract

VINYL ETHERS HAVE BEEN known since the early 1900s, but a commercial type synthesis for them and their polymers was not described until the late 1920s [1]. However, it was not until the early 1980s that the vinyl ethers were first suggested as new monomers for cationic radiation curing [2]. In the same decade after that first paper by Crivello was published, other studies were undertaken to show the viability of vinyl ethers in ultraviolet radiation curing [3-5] and electron beam curing [6,7].
