A Rapid Test for the Assessment of Steel Sheet and Tinplate Properties

Abstract

The “RAPID-n” test is capable of measuring accurately the yield and ultimate strengths, elongation, strain-hardening exponent, and strain ratio of steel sheet, tinplate, and other sheet materials in less than 5 min from sample reception. Five units are now in service.
