Symposium on International Advanced Vehicle/Transportation Infrastructure Technology The Symposium was held to develop the concept of and share experiences in integrating the design of vehicles and the transportation infrastructure. Advanced technologies and processes for simultaneous vehicle/transportation infrastructure design were emphasized. In addition, integrated information and control systems along with the technologies involved in the development of smart materials in vehicle and transportation infrastructure construction were included. Three of the twelve papers given at the Symposium are presented here.
