Abstract

A test setup was developed for the measurement of the deflection of single-edge notched bend (SENB) specimens. It avoids the influence of the indentations resulting from the roller pins during the measurement of the deflection. Compliance calibration bend tests were carried out to compare an experimental compliance curve with a theoretical solution.
