Estimating Creep Rates During Tensile Cyclic Loading

Abstract

A new form is formulated and presented graphically for estimating creep rates during sinusoidal cyclic loading of materials which obey Norton's creep power law. Also, a new closed form expression is derived and presented graphically for the average creep strain rate during ramp-type cyclic loading.
