Abstract

This paper describes a procedure that can be used to mechanically evaluate the momentum and clamping forces of a killingtype animal trap. The instrumentation, set-up procedures, and software packages used to analyze the data are described. Some typical results of the firing of a trap and the graph generated by the software are shown.
